Head of Research
He is responsible for research activities carried out in various communities in Bogotá and several regions of the country.
He studied at the University of Los Andes (Colombia) and Master's in Educational Sciences and Quality Assurance from the University of Aconcagua (Chile). He has published extensively in the fields of political philosophy, education for peace, historical memory, and ethics.
His specialism is qualitative research, and memory studies. He has led different projects on "education without walls" as a tool to take educational initiatives to populations without access to formal education. Uriel has led the research group "Imaginaries for Peace" since 2013.
Uriel is passionate about widening access to education and sees Malula as the perfect opportunity to build collaborative efforts to support tradition, values, and memory of minority communities. He enjoys playing football, writing, and working with communities in Colombia promoting an education without walls.
