Lina Gómez Núñez

President and Founder

She holds a degree in International Relations and a double masters degree in Conflict, Memory, and Peace. Alongside running Malula, Lina currently works as a Senior Analyst for ACAPS where she works at the frontline of conflict response and assessing humanitarian crises in Colombia and neighbouring countries. She has taken Malula international, presenting research in European Academic Conferences and building a team of international volunteers.

Growing up in a family of teachers, Lina saw first hand the transformative power of education. She was driven by a deep curiosity to understand the world from different perspectives. Lina wanted to create a space to listen without judgment, create opportunities for sharing knowledge, stories, food, music and traditions.

Lina wants Malula to support vulnerable populations by raising awareness of their struggles and bringing people together to develop solutions to shared challenges. Guided by the principles of empathy, hope, and wisdom. Malula seeks to amplify community voices and foster dialogue across cultures, disciplines, and generations.

Lina founded Malula in 2024 to dedicate her career to initiatives related to historical memory, humanitarian analysis, peacebuilding, social inclusion, ethnic communities, and populations affected by armed conflicts in Colombia.
