Research Assistant

Alejandra Garzón

She contributes to Malula through assisting in the preparation of research reports, academic publications, and presentations that communicate the foundation's results to partners, institutions, and the broader public. She has participated in research related to memory, peacebuilding, and agrarian conflict.

She has worked in The Tongas of Memory Project and the Recovery of memory project in the Belén neighbourhood. Her primary focus is on social cohesion, peace, memory, and innovative pedagogies.

She is great at listening to communities and implementing qualitative methodologies such as semi-structure interviews, and focus groups in both projects. She has also greatly contributed to the systematisation of the information and production of different analytical products.

She is very interested in contributing to gender focus projects in different regions of Colombia.

Alejandra is a political scientist from the Universidad del Rosario.
